Project: California State Parks Point Dume Restoration Emergency-Stormwater Erosion Damage
Location: Malibu, California

Description: Wildscape Restoration, Inc. worked with the California Department of Parks and Recreation to repair stormwater erosion damage at Point Dume Natural Preserve. Wildscape mobilized and controlled the site, provided pre-construction and post-construction surveys (As-builts), installed and maintained stormwater BMP's, filled and compacted eroded areas under the direction of State's geotechnical contractor, and graded surfaces to the satisfaction of State's Representative. Erosion control fabric rolled erosion control product (netting), and straw wattles were installed to stabilize the slopes per the State's specifications. Wildscape also removed 125 linear feet of AC swale and replaced it with a swale per City of Malibu standard. Lastly, Wildscape repaired the damaged trail and boardwalk to ADA standards and repaired damaged resource fencing.

Client: CA State Parks
Project: California State Parks Leo Carrillo
Location: Malibu, California

Description: Wildscape Restoration, Inc. worked with the California Department of Parks and Recreation to perform invasive species removal and treatment at Leo Carrillo State Beach in Malibu California. Wildscape provided a one-time dethatching of built-up invasive plants on 3 acres of coastal bluff at Leo Carillo State Park which was previously impacted by the Woolsey Fire in 2018. Non-native mustards and non-native grasses such as brome have since become very dominant in this area. The treatment and removal of herbaceous and woody invasive species will encourage the regrowth of native species. Wildscape provided a 4-person crew to perform the removal of these non-native species by using a combination of chemical treatments such as foliar application and mechanical equipment like weedwhackers.
