Landscape Transformation Workshops with Carrollo Engineers and Green Gardens Group (G3) 2019-2023
Urban Greening worked with G3 and Carollo Engineers to remove lawns and convert yards into drought tolerant gardens.
For each yard conversion, the process began with completely removing existing sod, followed by installing a drip irrigation system, planting drought tolerant native plants, and mulching. We provided care instructions for how to water and maintain the brand new gardens. This program was part of a lawn removal rebate program for the Los Angeles area.

General Landscape Maintenance with the California Department of Motor Vehicles in Ventura, Santa Barbara and Newhall
Urban Greening performed landscape maintenance for the Department of Motor Vehicles locations in Ventura, Santa Barbara and Newhall. The maintenance included mowing lawns, weeding, pruning and debris cleanup.
Ocean Friendly Garden Maintenance with West Basin Municipal Water District
Urban Greening provided landscape maintenance for several drought tolerant demonstration gardens located throughout the West Basin 17-city service area. Urban Greening maintained Malibu Bluffs Park, Culver City HS Robert Frost Auditorium, Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility, Manhattan Beach Pier, Hermosa Beach Community Center, Rowley Park Community Center, and the Donald L. Dear Building. Each garden is unique and required different types of maintenance ranging from shrub pruning, weed control and removal, mulch spreading, irrigation monitoring and debris removal. The overall goal for each site is to present beautiful, drought tolerant demonstration gardens so others will be encouraged to plant native and drought tolerant landscapes, and save on the cost of water.

What's Unique About Urban Greening?
At Urban Greening we don't like the cookie-cutter generic landscaping style - we aren't going to trim plants into circles and squares. If we are designing a landscape for you, we select native plants that will enhance your landscape space while looking wild and beautiful. If we are maintaining your existing garden, we will do so in a natural way, ensuring your yards or landscaped areas will remain beautiful and your plants will be healthy.
